Bio

Hola! My life began on a late night at about 11:49pm in Glendale, California many moons ago.  Throughout my journey on this great planet we call Earth, I have seen many cool things and some sad ones as well. I always wanted to live in a foreign country and got my wish. For two blessed years I experienced life living in  the Argentina cities of Córdoba, San Luís and Mendoza. Later I spent a year and a half in Honduras and Panama. I have visited Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Paris, France and Frankfurt, Germany

Truth be told I was not a great high school Spanish student. I was there just for the cultural events and field trips.  I fell in love with the language when I lived in Argentina and wished I had paid more attention in Spanish 1, 2 and 3.

My teaching career has taken me to many wonderful schools in the past 20 years. I started teaching in 1997 at the Cargil Beef Processing Plant in Fort Morgan, CO. This led to being hired as a long term sub for Fort Morgan High School. I have taught at Brush, Elizabeth, back to Fort Morgan and Eaglecrest High Schools.

NOW I bleed Tiger orange and black. Go TIGERS! Bennett High School is a fantastic place to teach!!

I have coached football, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball and track and have taken students to Costa Rica.

I didn't start out as a teacher.  I served for 10 years in the US ARMY as a Spanish linguist and translator. Afterwards I worked as a high school sports play-by-play announcer and the news/sports director for radio stations in Fort Morgan and Sterling. CO. I called the State Basketball Tournaments in 1996 down in Pueblo.
I received my BA in Spanish Liberal Arts at University of Northern Colorado (the real UNC).

My wife (of 43 years) and I have been blessed to raise 7 wonderful children and now we have 14 super grandchildren!
