Concurrent/Dual Enrollment

Juniors and Seniors are eligible to take college classes through the University of Northern Colorado

Juniors can enroll in two college courses per semester

Sophomores in GT Pathway or have a 3.75 GPA are eligible to take college Western Civilization

All students must meet the following requirements'

C or above in high school courses

85% attendance

Must be in good standing

Bennett School District will pay for 30 UNC credits, it is the responsibility of the student and parent/guardian to pay the rest of the tuition

Students are responsible for the cost of registration fees, course fees, and books

Students must receive a "C" or higher in their UNC classes in order to get college credit

Any student who receives a C- will be put on academic probation
-
Any student who receives a D or F will not be eligible to take any college courses at Bennett from that point on and the student will be required to pay back the cost of that course to Bennett School District

English Composition, US History, Western Civilization, Psychology, Sociology, Intro to Literature, Ethics Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Oceanography, Astronomy, College Algebra, Statistics, and Elementary Functions (Pre-Calculus)

Pickens Technical College
Pickens Applications are now open! Rising seniors may apply now. In order to apply you must make an appointment with Mrs. Eby. Due March 10!

Class of 2024-Pickens has a special opportunity for you! Pickens helps students begin a career and prepare for post-secondary workforce readiness.
Apprenticeship to Teaching Program

Apprenticeship to Teaching allows seniors to particpate in a paid internship and qualify for TREP- a state program which pays for the 1st two years of a teaching program.

Seniors that meet the following requirements are eligible to take courses at Pickens Technical College

Starting the '23-'24 school year we will only be accepting applications for students who will be seniors

In order to be eligible students must;

Have "Cs" or better in high school courses

85% attendance

Must be in "good standing"

Located in Aurora and follows the Aurora Public Schools schedule

Students must provide their own transportation

After Pickens courses are completed, students return to BHS and take required courses (English, Math, and a Social Studies)

Entrance in a particular program is not guaranteed- students apply for slots but it is a competitive process so have a back up plan!

After successful completion of a program, students are awarded certificates typically making them eligible for work right away

District pays for tuition, students are responsible for ALL other fees

Application due 3/10

There will be a second round after 3/10 for students who missed the application deadline
