BHS SUMMER SCHOOL 2021

As we close out the 2020-2021 school year, as a school we recognize the many struggles some of our students have experienced this school year. We would like to reach out and encourage families to sign up their student for summer school if they failed, or are in danger of failing any of their core classes this year.

Bennett High School offers credit recovery options for students to earn required credits for failed coursework. We strongly encourage you and your child to take full advantage of this educational opportunity so that your child can stay on track for graduation. Students who do not take advantage of the summer school option will need to make up their required coursework duringthe2021-22 school year in order to fulfill Bennett School District’s graduation requirements. Please be aware,if student’s do not take advantage of summer school credit recovery, their future elective options may be limited.

This year's summer school program is scheduled to be through the Bennett Virtual Academy. This is an online platform, however, students will be required to do in-person check-ins with the BHS Summer School staff. The student and staff will determine the date and time for the check-ins. If a student misses one weekly check-in they will get a warning. If they miss more than one checkin we will ask for a parent meeting. Parents and students will receive weekly progress reports as to how their student is performing in their classes. If an online student falls below 70% they will be asked to attend in person until their grades are above 70%.

For students who prefer to come to summer school in person:
