Graduation update

May 16, 2021

Graduation May 23, 2021 at 1pm

******Great news seniors! Since Adams County moved to level clear we will not be limiting attendance for the 2021 graduation ceremony. We will still have the parade right after graduation.

Graduates,

Please be at the high school by 12pm. Remember you will park in the north lot and will line up for the parade there. Your car needs to be decorated prior to graduation, you just will not have time to do it that day.

Due to Adams County moving to level Clear we will no longer limit attendance to graduation. Please feel free to invite family and friends.

Refer to the prior letter on appropriate attire for graduation. Please take pictures of your cap, if you decorated it, and bring the picture in on Tuesday when you check-out for approval. You can also email Ms. Klomp for approval .

Parade Information

Class of 2021 parade

The parade will start right after graduation. We are hoping to have everything ready and begin at 2:15pm.

I have included a picture of the parade map. We are starting at the north high school parking lot.

You need to let the office know on Tuesday who you are riding with/who you will have in your car!!! This is very important, they are announcing your names at the end of the parade.

Check out of school

Seniors your last day is Tuesday May 18th. Please make sure you bring your school computer and any textbooks, calculators or uniforms to return to school. You will need to check out with the library, the office and the counseling department. You can get more information from your Pride Time teachers.

Tickets and cords will be handed out on Tuesday May 18th when you check out!

Bennett High School

March 2021

Dear Families,

Welcome Spring! There is energy in the air as we head into March. Over the past few weeks, more and more students have been on campus due to athletic teams, activities, and increased in-person learning time, which I find refreshing. March also reminds us that it’s the mid-point of the semester and continued hard work and dedication are required. As a faculty, we often talk about the “3rd quarter slump” and we see a decrease in assignment completion and submissions, plus a decrease in classroom engagement in discussions and projects. This is a critical time for students to stay focused, and persist with their studies. If academic or social-emotional support is needed, I ask that you use this link to find the resources you are seeking. Your student can also speak with Mrs. Eby our counselor.   [email protected]

Remember:

Be responsible for deadlines and assignments

Be ready to learn - computer is charged, you have what you need

Stay mentally and physically attentive during class

Sincerely,

Mrs. Salberg

Mark your calendar The commencement ceremony for the Class of 2021 will be on Sunday, May 23! Summer School 2021

Credit Recovery

Bennett High School students must have 25 credits in order to graduate. We know that many students struggled during online learning this year and we want to offer a simple and easy way to make up for some of the lost credits during summer school. We are excited to provide this opportunity free of charge this year!

We are encouraging students who have failed a class to consider taking it again for credit recovery during the summer. This will help you in scheduling classes you want to take for next year.

We will be sending out summer school registration information in late April.
