NCAA Clearinghouse:

Students wanting to play sports at a college or university MUST register with the NCAA Clearinghouse eligibility center. The requirements vary depending upon which level the college or university is. Students should register during their junior year in high school.

What is FAFSA?

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Students MUST complete FAFSA in order to be eligible for any federal financial aid. This includes grants, select scholarships, and work study programs from individual institutions.

College Opportunity Fund (COF) - Free money!

If you are planning to attend college in Colorado, it is vital that you sign up for COF!!

What is COF?
-
A stipend given by the state of Colorado to students who are Colorado residents and chose to attend a participating Colorado pubic and private institution.

The amount you receive is based on the specific amount of the stipend for that year and the number of credits you take each semester.

Currently, it is $40/credit hour for public institutions and $20 credit hour for participating private institutions.

Students who take courses through UNC will also need to get a transcript from UNC

Give teachers/counselors two weeks notice

Provide EACH recommender a copy of the form above

Think about who will write you the best recommendation

Don't forget to write a thank you note for each recommender!
